BIOGRAPHY

Professor Craig Martin leads a research group at the University of Massachusetts Amherst exploring the mechanisms of T7 RNA polymerase, a key enzyme in mRNA manufacturing. His work has guided nearly four decades of progress in RNA synthesis and enzyme engineering.

Craig is also the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Waterfall Scientific, where he develops mRNA manufacturing systems that eliminate impurities during synthesis. His innovations enable scalable, high-quality mRNA production for both personalized therapeutics and large-scale medical applications.
